Who installs them
Certified on the method, not just the brand
Plenty of salons in Red Deer carry BELLAMI. Fewer will tell you who in the building is certified to install it, so here it is.
Master level
Noon K
BELLAMI Master Certified, and the salon’s founder since 2017. Also holds the Advanced Colour Correction Masterclass, which is what makes an extension blend sit right against colour.

Tiara Black
BELLAMI Certified in Volume Wefts and K-Tips, and our extension specialist. Seamless blending and extension cutting is the certification that decides whether anyone can tell.

Methods we install
Hand-tied wefts, tape-ins and K-tips, plus the BELLAMI Flex series. Which one suits you depends on your hair's density, your lifestyle and how often you are willing to come back for maintenance. That is what the consultation is for.
Start with the consultation
The consultation is complimentary and takes 15 to 30 minutes. We shade-match against your own hair, agree the method and the amount, and order your hair. Nothing is installed on the day you consult — the hair has to be ordered in your match first.
Keeping them right
Move-ups run every four to eight weeks depending on your method and how fast your hair grows. That appointment includes a blend check, so the cut keeps working as your own hair grows out underneath.

Book a consultationHow we work
The extension process, start to finish
Extensions are a commitment of hair, time and money, so it is worth knowing exactly what each stage involves before you book. This is how a set runs at our Red Deer studio, from the first consultation through to removal.
Consultation and candidacy
Every set starts with a complimentary 15–30 minute consultation. We look at your natural hair in person because photographs flatten the two things that matter most: how much hair you actually have, and what condition it is in. If your hair will not hold a set safely, we will tell you at this stage rather than after you have paid for hair.
Hair density assessment
Density is the number of hairs per square inch, and it is a different measurement from thickness. It decides how many rows your head can carry and where they can sit without showing. Fine hair is not a disqualification — extensions for thin hair are among the most common requests we take — but low density changes the method, the row count and the weight of hair we order. A set that is too heavy for its anchor points is the single most common cause of traction damage we see.
Colour matching
We shade-match against your own hair in natural light, at the mid-lengths and the ends separately, because most coloured hair is not one tone from root to tip. If you wear dimensional or lived-in colour, matching to a single swatch produces a visible stripe once it is installed. Where your target colour needs it, we colour your own hair first and match the order to the finished result rather than the starting point. BELLAMI hair is then ordered to that match, which is why nothing is installed on consultation day.
Placement
Placement is mapped to your head shape, your parting and how you actually wear your hair. Rows sit below the occipital bone and inside the perimeter so nothing is visible when you tie your hair up, and we leave a clean margin at the nape and temples where hair is finest and most prone to tension.
Installation
We install hand-tied wefts, tape-ins, K-tips and the BELLAMI Flex series. Each has a different tension profile: hand-tied rows spread weight along a beaded track, tape-ins sandwich a section between two wefts, K-tips distribute across many small bonds. Method is chosen from your density and your lifestyle, not from what is fashionable.
Blending
The blend cut is what separates a set that reads as your own hair from one that reads as extensions. Both your hair and the added hair are cut together, dry, so the layers travel through the join rather than stopping at it. Every move-up includes a blend check, because your own hair grows and the join moves with it.
Maintenance and move-ups
Move-ups run every four to eight weeks depending on method and how fast your hair grows. Leaving a set beyond its window is the second most common cause of damage: as the row grows away from the scalp it rotates, and the tension concentrates on fewer hairs.
Removal
Removal is a booked service, never a home job. Beads are opened with the correct tool, tape bonds are broken with solvent, and K-tips are softened before release. Cutting a row out or pulling on a bond takes your own hair with it. Removal is followed by a clarifying wash and a bond treatment, and we will always show you the shed hair — hair that was going to fall out anyway but has been held in the row is normal, and looks alarming if nobody warns you.
Aftercare and hair health
You go home with a written plan: how to wash, how to brush from the ends up, how to dry the rows, and how to sleep in them. We keep clients on Kevin.Murphy sulphate-free washes and rinses so the bonds are not stripped, and K18 bio-peptide repair runs through any lightening we do alongside a set. Extensions are only as healthy as the hair they are anchored to.
What hair extensions cost in Red Deer
Extensions are quoted at consultation rather than listed at a flat price, because the cost is driven by how much hair your set needs and the method it is installed with — not by an hour on a price list. The quote covers the hair itself, the install, the blend cut and your first home-care plan, and we confirm it in writing before any hair is ordered. Move-ups and removal are quoted separately so you can plan the whole year, not just the first appointment.

Thinking about extensions?
Method, shade and how much your own hair can carry are all decided in person, before anything is ordered. If the honest answer is that extensions are not right for your hair, we will say so.
