Blonding
Lived-In & Dimensional Lightening
Foil and freehand work built to grow out softly, so you are not tied to a six-week line.
How balayage works, and what it costs in Red Deer
-
1–1.5 hr
A targeted pop of brightness around the front hairline, to refresh your frame between major colour appointments.
Brightens the frame -
1.5–2 hr
Strategic foiling through the crown and sides, adding brightness where the light naturally hits.
-
2.5–3.5 hr
Maximum brightness across the whole head using traditional foil technique. The one for high-impact blonding.
Full head of foils -
2.5–3 hr
Highlights and lowlights together, finished with a root smudge and a custom gloss for depth as well as brightness.
Custom gloss -
3–4 hr
Hand-painted lightening, worked freehand through the mid-lengths and ends for a seamless, low-maintenance blonde with soft root regrowth.
Soft regrowth -
3–4 hr
The same lived-in result reached with foils rather than freehand, for hair that needs more lift than painting alone will give.
Soft regrowth
All-over colour
Single Process & Custom Colour
One shade, edge to edge — or a full custom formulation built for your skin tone.
Fixing colour that has gone wrong
-
1–1.5 hr
Reintroduces richer, darker tones to bring depth and dimension back into hair that has been over-lightened.
-
1.5–2 hr
A single rich shade applied evenly root to end, for maximum shine and uniform coverage.
-
3–5 hr
Bold fashion colour and creative placement. Often needs pre-lightening first, which is quoted separately at consultation.
-
3–4 hr
A dramatic top-to-bottom custom shade, formulated for your skin tone and how you wear your hair.
Between appointments
Touch-Ups & Enhancements
The shorter services that keep colour looking new without a full sitting.
-
45–60 min
Neutralises brassiness, refines tone and adds shine to colour you already have. Includes a blow-out.
-
3–6+ hr
Specialised restoration for complex transformations and colour that has gone wrong. Always quoted in person, because the price depends entirely on what is already on the hair.
-
-
Fast-track root processing on clean, dry hair with a quick flash-dry finish — about ten minutes in the chair, for when you need the line gone and have somewhere to be.
~10 minClean, dry hair -
1.5–2 hr
Seamless grey coverage or shade matching on new growth, up to about an inch and a half.

Perms
Modern Texture & Waves
Modern perming, for support and movement rather than the tight set the word suggests.
-
1.5–2 hr
Adds support, root lift or curl to specific sections — the crown or the top layers — rather than the whole head.
-
2–3 hr
Uniform, defined curl or a tight spiral pattern from root to end, for maximum texture.
Getting married
Bridal is booked differently.
Weddings run on their own menu, their own timeline and a signed contract — not the standard price list above.
Trials are booked six to eight weeks ahead, the whole party is priced per person, and we travel across Central Alberta. The bridal page has the full menu, the travel fees and what happens on the morning.
Common questions
Before you book
-
Balayage is quoted at consultation, because the time and product depend on your hair's length, density and colour history. A first session usually runs three to four hours and includes the hand-painted lightening, a root melt, a custom toner and a finished blow-out. Your stylist confirms the exact price with you before anything is mixed.
-
Every 4–8 weeks. A move-up takes 60–90 minutes and includes a blend check. Both the install and the move-up are quoted at consultation, and the BELLAMI hair itself is ordered separately once we have matched your shade — so you have both figures before anything is ordered.
-
For a standard retouch or highlight, no — book the service directly. For a colour correction or your first set of extensions, yes: book the complimentary consultation first so we can assess your hair's history, quote the time honestly and order the right hair.

Kevin.Murphy is our retail and backbar line, and K18 bio-peptide repair runs through our lightening services to rebuild bonds. In-salon treatments run on K18 molecular repair and KEVIN.MURPHY conditioning, with a scalp therapy ritual available on its own or as an add-on. BELLAMI is our exclusive extension provider — wefts, tape-ins, K-tips and the Flex series.
-
Yes. Bridal trials are $150 for a 90-minute session and are required for all bridal bookings — best booked 6–8 weeks before the wedding. Wedding-day hair is $225 for the bride, $375 with makeup, $110 per person for the wedding party, $195 with makeup, and $70 for anyone 12 and under. The Signature Bridal Experience covers the bride's trial and whole morning at $595. A signed contract and 50% deposit secure the date. Saturdays from June to September need three or more services to hold the date, and travel outside Red Deer is a flat $150 setup plus $0.85/km round trip.
